Zimbali Lodge and Country Club is set in the lush subtropical coastal belt, 42km north of Durban. The Lodge is surrounded by an 18–hole championship golf course designed by world renowned Tom Weiskopf. The Zimbali estate, (Zimbali means “Valley of Flowers” in Zulu), is in an area of naturally occurring lakes and wetlands, and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, from magnificent butterflies to many beautiful species of antelope and bird life. GOLF AT ZIMBALI The Zimbali Golf Course is both challenging and superbly beautiful, offering world-class standards for top players and higher handicap players alike. There is a well-stocked Pro Shop, and the clubhouse offers a restaurant and bar. The course has two distinct characteristics. Some of the holes are built amongst what were once cane fields, have few trees and are 'links like' in feel, while others are cut through dense indigenous forest and wetlands. Most tees are positioned high on the sides of hills or dunes with a fairway flowing through a valley to a green cut at the bottom of the next hill. A driving range, practice greens and locker room facilities are available.
