Tailor Made Luxury Safaris amd Honeymoon Safaris in Zimbabwe

This beautiful country provides many contrasting choices and good value for visitors wishing to see big game, abundant birds and wildlife. The unforgettable roar of Victoria Falls and the peace of Lake Kariba typify the majesty of this landlocked African country. From the Eastern Highlands, with its trout streams and golf courses, to the huge elephant herds in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe offers superb and varied experiences.

MAP of ZIMBABWE

In the North, the Zambezi river passes though some excellent game areas which can be seen from a canoe or privately owned lodges and tented camps. Here, with a glass of wine, you can watch the sun set over pods of hippo before spending the evening round the campfire listening to the night sounds of the African bush. Up-market canoeing safaris are available on both the upper and lower Zambezi and offer a really splendid way to experience the African bush, see a variety of game and get away from it all. This type of holiday is well suited to families who like soft adventure with some luxury at the end.

If you want to stay on dry land and savour the wilderness, the Matusadona National Park bordering Lake Kariba and Chizarira National Park have some excellent guided walking safaris and tented camps.

In the south-east lowveld the luxury Singita Pamushana Lodge in the Malilangwe Private Wildlife Reserve has a unique appeal with abundant game. Near Bulawayo in the west, Barberton is a magnificent haven for black rhino and birdlife whilst the nearby Matopos Hills National Park will allow you to see white rhino, bushman rock art and Cecil Rhodes's grave.

Roads are good in Zimbabwe but generally it is better to fly if your time is precious, as the distances are considerable.

Special interest holidays include: birding safaris, riding safaris, elephant back safaris, white-water rafting, walking, canoeing , house boats, painting and fishing.
