Tarkuni is an exclusive luxury lodge (safari villa) situated in the largest private game reserve in South Africa, which today covers approximately 1000 square kilometers.  The Kalahari is the ancestral home of the San people, also known as the Bushman, where despite the harsh environment these people carved a livelihood for many millennia. Nearby archaeological sites provide guests with the opportunity to learn more about ancient San culture. Tswalu is free from malaria and other tropical diseases so is an ideal destination for families or groups of friends travelling together.  Takuni can only be booked on an exclusive basis for a minimum of 2  to a maximum of 12 guests.  The accommodation comprises four luxury bed rooms with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers, open plan lounge and dining room, library, covered patio and heated swimming pool.  There is also a childrens room with two sets of bunks and a nannie's room.
