Tongabezi is a small secluded lodge, situated just thirty minutes upstream from Victoria Falls, set in a tranquil grove of African Ebony trees on a sweeping bend of the Zambezi River. Unquestionably a very special and beautiful location.

FACILITIES
The lodge has a thatched dining room and bar, from which guests can watch the elephants, hippo and antelope on the river banks, although nearly all the meals are eaten outside under the shade of the central mahogany tree. There are verdant gardens, a swimming pool, tennis court , croquet Lawn and an attractive river frontage.

TRANSFER
Transfers by road or air from Victoria Falls, Livingstone and Kasane airports. | No. of Bedrooms | Five luxury river cottages and four extremely spacious open-fronted, open-plan thatched houses. The later are each named Honeymoon, Dog, Tree and Bird Houses. All rooms have magnificent views of the river, en-suite bathrooms and private decks. Each of the houses is luxuriously furnished and has unique architectural features, four poster beds and large airy bed canopies. The Tree House bathroom was voted one of the top five in the world by Conde Nast. This is a seriously comfortable lodge (not a safari lodge, though there are game drives available) with all the facilities you would expect plus a large dollop of African magic. It's a great base from which to see all that Victoria Falls has to offer or to just chill in the private seclusion of your house, particularly suitable for anniversaries, treats and honeymoons. The lodge has excellent food and wines all of which are available for you to enjoy in the seclusion of your house if you prefer. Tongabezi's sister Lodge Sindabezi, on an island in the river nearby, is a possible alternative for the more intrepid seekers of seclusion and slightly simpler comforts.
