This delightful property is situated on two densely forested sand islands on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River, upstream of Victoria Falls. The lodge is small and luxurious, sleeping just twelve guests. The principle guest amenities and public areas are located on the larger island whilst the guest chalets are located on the other, overlooking the river and facing the game reserve on the southern bank. The two islands are linked by a series of suspension bridges and overhead walkways in the tree canopy. The lodge consists of six luxurious double/twin tented cottages, made of teak and canvas, that are equipped to a very high standard with quality furniture and fittings. The accommodation is raised above ground levels in the tree canopy and has private balconies extended over the river, ensuite bathrooms, fridges, ceiling fans, hair dryers, mosquito nets and private safes. All bathrooms are provided with dressing gowns and a range of aromatherapy bath products. The chalets are linked by a winding overhead walkway, keeping guests safe from wildlife and protecting the fragile riparian environment.  It is an ideal location for relaxing and provides and excellent base for exploring the river and nature/game/birds of the area. Food and wines at the lodge are excellent and the service is first class. There is a secluded swimming pool on the larger island and a nature trail, one and a half kilometres in length, meandering through the indigenous forest. Picnic lunches can be served here on request.  A visit to the Victoria Falls, a sundowner cruise on the river, Mokoro (punt) trips, a guided village/school walk and tree planting are included in the rate.  Style Relaxed, luxurious and remote.
