Teremok Lodge is located in Umhlanga Rocks 30 minutes drive north of Durban. Formerly a large private house the Lodge has been meticulously transformed into a luxurious private hotel which we can highly recommend. Teremok, Russian for hideaway, is situated is in a quiet residential street only 200 metres walk from the beach which stretches a long way in either direction for walks, swimming, surfing and fishing. An ideal spot to overnight or for longer stays when in the Durban area. Each suite has air conditioning, fans, cotton percale linen, entertainment system with DVD, CD, flat screen TV and free ADSL internet connection. The open plan bathrooms have a free standing bath, shower, two basins and separate loos. All achieved with great style: some rooms are quite minimalist but others have rich warm fabrics. The rooms on the top floor have sea views; all have balconies. The reception areas are very comfortable with a dining room for breakfast and light meals by arrangement. There is no restaurant as such. An honesty bar is a nice touch in what is a friendly family run hotel. There is also a "Wellness" centre with gym equipment and treatment room. Two bicycles are available for exploring the local area and a medium size pool is found in the verdant gardens that surround the house.  Style Boutique Hotel.
