It is a short stroll from the village of Fox Glacier and close to the mighty glacier from which the village takes its name. The hotel is surrounded by natural bush and is a few minutes drive from the tranquil and beautiful Lake Matheson. The hotel is spacious and comfortably furnished in modern style with splendid views. Service and food are excellent. The hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the area, in particular the mountainous terrain both on and around the huge expanse of the Fox Glacier. Accommodation consists of 20 spacious bedrooms with large picture windows and balconies to make the best of the location and wide views. The large bathrooms are fully en-suite. The bedrooms are large enough to accommodate a third person on a ‘rollaway’ bed and interconnecting rooms are also available for families. Furnishings are simple but very comfortable in a modern style.
