Day 1
Fly with British Airways in economy class from London Heathrow overnight to Dar es Salaam.
Day 2
On arrival, connect with a light aircraft charter to the coast. On arrival, transfer by road and boat to Ras Kutani to stay for 3 nights.

Day 5
Selous Game Reserve
At about twice the size of Denmark, the Selous Game Reserve is the second largest wildlife reserve on earth and a World Heritage Site (one of only six in Africa). The Reserve has a varied terrain of rolling savannah woodland, grassland plains, rocky outcrops and dense forest patches, and is second only to the Serengeti in its concentration of wildlife. As well as elephant, there are hippo, wildebeest, hartebeest, sable, kudu, eland, lion, leopard and good opportunities to see wild dog. Walking safaris in the company of an armed guard are a feature of the Reserve and river safaris amongst the crocodiles and hippos are highly recommended. |
Transfer by road back to Dar es Salaam airport to connect with a light aircraft flight into the Selous Game Reserve. On arrival, road transfer to Selous Safari Camp to stay for 5 nights. Fly camping available at a supplement of about £45 per person per night.
Terms: Full Board and game activities (drinks not included). Day 10
Transfer by light aircraft from the Selous to Zanzibar. On arrival, you will be met and transferred by road to the north east coast and Matemwe Bungalows to stay for 3 nights.
Terms: Full Board basis.
Day 13
Transfer by road to Stone Town and Emerson and Green's Hotel (236 Hurumzi) for an overnight stay.
Terms: Bed and Breakfast.
Day 14
Early morning transfer (10 mins) to the airport for a light aircraft hop to Dar es Salaam. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the International Terminal to connect with a daytime flight with British Airways in economy class to London, arriving late afternoon at London Heathrow.
