Buffeted by the waves and winds of the Southern Ocean, Kangaroo Island boasts some of Australia’s most spectacular coastline and wildlife unaffected by the introduced species of European settlement. Tamar wallabies, now almost extinct on the mainland, Grey kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, Fairy penguins, seals and sea lions plus a variety of bird life, live within the safety of the island’s ocean boundaries. Graham and Lyn Wheaton have lived on Kangaroo Island their whole lives. Graham is a third generation islander - his grandfather settled on the island and set up their farm. They continue to farm 3,000 acres around their beautiful homestead in addition to welcoming a small number of guests into their home. The property is also home to two lagoons with excellent bird and wildlife viewing around it and Graham’s knowledge as a wildlife guide is with you during your stay.
