Ruckomechi Camp is situated on the western boundary of Mana Pools National Park in Northeast Zimbabwe. It has a private concession area around the camp. It is the sister camp to Chikwenya and is situated in a large grove of acacia and mahogany trees overlooking the Zambezi River, with a superb view of the Zambian Escarpment. The combination of great game viewing, a multitude of activities and stunning scenery, make this camp one of the best in all Africa.

WILDLIFE The predators, including lion, wild dog and leopard, are often sighted, and large concentrations of Buffalo can be found along the river's edges. Kudu, zebra, impala and waterbuck can be seen on the surrounding plains. Elephant take advantage of the plentiful "albida" trees in the area. Bird-watching tends to be good, with the river attracting large numbers of water birds. The grunting of hippos can be heard all day.

FACILITIES The central dining, pub and lounge area is under cool thatch, on the river's edge, facing the escarpment. A wooden viewing deck provides the perfect place for gazing at the Zambezi River and the mountains. There is a plunge pool.
