Qualia (pronounced kwah-leea) is located on the northern most point of Hamilton Island and offers sixty chic 60 guest pavilions. Qualia’s focal point is the Long Pavilion, which creates a dramatic sense of arrival. Just short of 100 metres long, it opens onto an epic panorama of the Whitsunday Islands. With 100 floor to ceiling folding glass doors that will spend most of their time opened to the elements – The Long Pavilion is not so much a room that can be opened as a veranda that can be enclosed. Breakfast and dinner are served in The Long Pavilion, while the lunch venue is a more casual shoreline restaurant on Pebble Beach. Qualia shares the sense that, in Australia elegant can also be casual! Style Chic Retreat Accommodation Spread over 30 acres on the north end of busy Hamilton Island.  There is a selection of individual pavilions that are 4 times larger than an average hotel room, all overlooking the Coral Sea and Whitsundays. All pavilions have an expanded outdoor area, living room, bedroom and stunning bathroom.  There are 26 Windward Pavilions – each with a private salt water plunge pool.  The 33 Leeward Pavilions feature an expanded sun deck (no plunge pool).  All rooms include air-conditioning, ceiling fan, balcony/patio, minibar, tea & coffee making facilities, television, CD & DVD player and internet access.    Dining Qualia’s central feature, The Long Pavilion, encompasses its main restaurant, bar, library; and is surrounded by a still water pool running along its entire length.  The second, more casual waters edge restaurant Pebble Beach, is set beside an expansive waterfront pool, gym and cabanas.  The chef’s promote modern Australian cuisine with an emphasis on the seafood and tropical fruit that is such a highlight in northern Queensland.
