OLD GARDEN HOUSE

An fully restored family house set in a large garden located in a quiet residential area just outside Galle. Single storey structure with high ceiling. Enter via a covered verandha into the open sitting room that has the 4 bedrooms off it (2 on either side). The rear garden contains the swimming pool and open sided pavilion housing the full size snooker table. The house is set back from the life of Galle and the crowds on the beaches yet close enough to enjoy both.

Sitting area
A sitting room at the front of the house has a large purpose built sofa. Further seating is on the entrance verandha and by the pool.

Dining area
A round dining table is located near the pool and can be shifted to anywhere in thge garden that you would like.

Kitchen / Staff
A modern kitchen is located at the rear of the house. There is an experienced cook capable of both local and western food. He will come daily as does a houseboy. There is also a nightwatchman and a gardener.

Meals
Discuss with the cook what you would like and when. Either provide him with some cash and he will shop or go yourself to any of the local fish and fruit n veg markets. There is a small supermarket nearby for some imported food.

Area
The reputation of Galle as a tourist destination is growing and with it the number of facilities. The charming Galle Fort provides the historical aspect of this Sri Lankan city. Gems remains the core of the shopping and jewellry stores abound. 0ther shops offering clothes to interior items and antiques are located in the Fort as well as the town. Restaurants ansd bars are slowly opening. The international test cricket pitch provides the sport and the view from the Dutch ramparts is a must. Some of the worlds most beautiful beaches are within a short tuk tuk ride from this villa with excellent scuba diving on offer. The villa is exactly located about 1km out of Galle town and so has the best of both in a holiday: - close enough to the beaches andfun crowd but far enough away to escape when you want to enjoy a family holiday without seeing any other tourists.

Pool	A large pool is located in the rear garden next to the snooker pavilion.
