The Lodge and Location The Chyulu Hills have some of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes in Kenya. This Lodge remains a long standing favorite of ours having excellent accommodation, guiding and spectacular views from the Chyulu Hills over the plains to Mt Kilimanjaro. The accommodation has recently been updated and is extremely comfortable. The lodge has managed to retain that stylish aloofness so lacking in many modern lodges and is thus a perfect place to unwind and enjoy remote peace and excellent service. Here, on private Maasai owned land in the foothills of the Chyulu Range, lies Ol Donyo Wuas - halfway between Tsavo and Amboseli National Parks. At Ol Donyo Wuas you will have exclusive use of over 300,000 acres of wilderness. Note that the rains fall in November, April and May. Views of Kilimanjaro are best between September and May. WILDLIFE The 'big five' are found on the Ranch although rhino are hard to see as they live in very dense cover. Elephant are only resident during the rains. Other wildlife include oryx, eland, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, cheetah, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal and bat-eared fox.
