The Masai Mara is the premier game viewing destination in Kenya and also boasts the single largest concentration of plains game anywhere in the world, providing sanctuary to hundreds of thousands of animals and 400 species of bird. The area is part of the wider Serengeti ecosystem and offers amazing game viewing throughout the year. The Mara also witnesses one of the great wonders in the world, the Great Migration, between July and October, when over a million wildebeest with zebra, antelope and attendant predators move across the plains in their annual circulation for fresh grasses.
