The Observatory Hotel - Sydney, Australia

The Best

Elegance and charm, this five star hotel is located in a quiet corner of the historic Rocks district.  The Observatory is located in a quiet street in The Rocks, Sydney’s oldest district and an ideal location from which to sample the city’s varied harbour-side life, shopping precincts and some great restaurants. With just 100 guest rooms and the personalized service of their well trained team, guests do notice a difference; a difference that offers sophistication and efficiency in a warm and personable environment.

The Drawing Room creates a welcome akin to your neighbour’s home, the magnificent Day Spa features a 20 metre heated indoor pool with starlit ceiling and a wide range of Spa treatments and a delicious breakfast with interesting cooked choices is severed in Galileo. At night Galileo offers exciting cuisine based on traditional French style yet with interesting Japanese notes.

FACILITIES

StyleSuperb Five Star Hotel
Accommodation

The hotel offers 78 deluxe rooms, 9 Junior Suites, 12 Executive Suites and the Observatory Suite.  A comfortable, cosy atmosphere, a 'home away from home' these rooms are elegantly furnished with antiques and rich fabrics. The Colonial-style sash windows open to circulate fresh air, room facilities include DVD player and broadband internet.  Bathrooms with heated towel rails, an oversized bathtub and separate shower.  Important : Water view rooms do not overlook the main harbour but look back across Walsh Bay which is behind the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Please note – all rooms are offered with water views or Observatory Hill rooms. Water view rooms are more expensive and do not overlook the main harbour.  We do however recommend the water views as they look across Walsh Bay to the west and enjoy great sunsets.

Dining

Galileo is one of Sydney's leading five-star hotel restaurant, with cuisine based upon a traditional French style & highlighted with Japanese influences. At the Globe Bar enjoy a flute of Möet & Chandon, a Sake Martini or a balloon of VSOP Cognac, the elegant Globe Bar will be sure to cater to your every desire.   Celebrate the art of afternoon tea in classic style at The Globe Bar which embodies all the romance of a bygone era.
