This is a superb venture started by Robin Pope Safaris in the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa National Park. An ideal way of adding more walking to your safari holiday and ideally combined with stays at Tena Tena and Nsefu. It is probably best to start your safari at either Tena Tena or Nsefu, leaving early after an excellent breakfast of porridge and toast around the campfire. You can base yourself at the bush camp for 2 or 3 nights, with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 4, or 6 if it is a private group, walks go out in the early morning and in the evening and are varied according to the clients’ requirements. They can last up to 4 – 5 hours, but are always tailored to suit. Walks are always conducted with a game scout, your guide and a tea carrier. The walking guide for the fly camping is Deb Tittle, who has more than 10 years experience in the Luangwa Valley. She has a huge knowledge of the bush and instils confidence as well as being charming, quiet and calm.
