Ngala Tented Safari Camp & Ngala Walking Safaris

Kruger National Park, South Africa

Highly Recommended

Ngala Tented Safari Camp is a satellite camp to Ngala Lodge.  The guest areas overlook the Timbavati riverbed which draws much wildlife to its tree-lined banks.  Next to a nearby waterhole is an intimate hide which allows you to see and photograph wildlife incredibly close-up.  All year round, giant shady trees form a cool green canopy over this tranquil camp.  This is a traditional safari camp offering 4x4 game drives and bush walks. It is also the base for full excellent walking safaris  situated nearby - see below.

Wildlife
Ngala's habitats support an astonishing variety of wildlife including elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, leopard and lion, and around 260 species of birds.

Facilities
The camp has a lounge and dining area, and a good pool surrounded by a timber deck - the perfect place to relax and cool off in after a day on safari.  Ngala offers moonlit bush sundowners and dinners - dine alfresco in a clearing in the bush under a star-studded sky or among islands of reeds on the dry Timbavati riverbed.  In the cool winter evenings, open fireplaces are a magnet for convivial gatherings of guests.
