The Springs, Rotorua, New Zealand

Highly Recommended

In the midst of the bubbling mud pools and geothermal hotspots of Rotorua sits a haven of tranquility.  The Springs is set in a simple yet elegant garden of white Iceberg roses and sasanqua camellias evoking a sense of restful contentment.  In the charming guest wing, where a log fire blazes in the cosy library, four individually designed and comfortably appointed rooms open to the garden.

The Guest Lounge with its decor of rich Autumn tones and a wood fire for cooler months, invites guests in to relax and enjoy conversation or restful, quiet times. The exquisite interior design was achieved by one of New Zealand's best designers, Laine Simpson and Darryl Church, architect, won an award for his sensitive design.

FACILITIES

No. of Bedrooms

Each Guest Room enjoys identical size and facilities with ensuite bathrooms and a door to a private terrace giving access to the garden.  Rotorua is a Spa town and each guest room is named after local fresh water Springs, Paradise, Rainbow, Rachel and Fairy.  The King beds have New Zealand wool duvets.  The rooms come equipped with ceiling fans, central heating, television, hairdryer, robes and offer free wireless internet access.

Activities

There is a huge selection of geothermal activity in the region, but none more beautiful and colourful as Wai-O-Tapu about 20 minutes South of Rotorua.
Rainbow Springs is a natural wonderland is an ideal place to experience New Zealand flora and fauna. The trout are huge, the native birds playful, the Tuatara, a direct descendant of the Dinosaurs, old and a real live Kiwi can be viewed in its nocturnal habitat.   There are 16 lakes and numerous rivers and streams in our region. Somewhere there is a Rainbow or Brown trout with your name on it. Remember the only way you can eat trout in New Zealand is if you catch it.

Visit the Polynesian Spa - you can simply enjoy a relaxing soak in the pools, private, public or the Luxury Lake Spa. Then there's the Aix Massage, a treat for the weary traveller.
