Day 1 Fly with Air Namibia in economy class from London Gatwick overnight to Windhoek.
Day 2 On arrival in Windhoek, you will be met and transferred to the Hotel Heinitzburg, a charming castle hotel overlooking Windhoek, for an overnight stay. Your Group B hire car will be delivered later in the day. Terms: Bed and breakfast.
Day 3 Drive to the southwest to Sossusvlei (about 4 to 5 hours) and Kulala Tented Camp to stay for 2 nights. This camp offers wonderful desert scenery with vast plains and rugged mountains. Activities include early morning excursions to Sossusvlei to explore the magnificent dunes. Terms: Fully inclusive (all meals, local drinks and game activities).
Day 5 Drive from Sossusvlei via the Namib Naukluft Park to Swakopmund (about 4 to 5 hour drive) and the Swakopmund Hotel to stay for 2 nights. A number of excursions are available including boat trips from Walvis Bay to view seals and dolphins. Terms: Bed and breakfast.
Day 7 Drive north to the Omaruru area (about 2 hours) and to Erongo Wilderness Lodge for an overnight stay. Accommodation is in tented thatched bungalows with en suite facilities, built into the granite foothills of the Erongo Mountains. Terms: Full board.
Day 8 Drive north to the Huab River Valley and the rugged desert scenery of Damaraland (about 3 to 4 hour drive) and to Damaraland Camp to stay for 2 nights. Activities here include guided nature walks and 4x4 drives in search of the endangered black rhino and rare desert elephant. Terms: Fully inclusive.
Day 10
Drive eastwards to the southern boundary of the Etosha National Park (about 4 hours) to Ongava Tented Camp to stay for 2 nights. Activities include game drives into the Park, nature walks, night drives and game viewing from hides within Ongava. Terms: Fully inclusive.
Day 12 Drive through the Park to the north-eastern side of Etosha (about 3 hours) to Etosha Aoba Lodge to stay for 2 nights. The close proximity of the Park allows continued game viewing there as well as nature walks and drives at the Lodge. Terms: Bed and breakfast. Day 14 Drive south to the Omboroko Mountains (about 3 hours) and Okonjima Bush Camp to stay for 2 nights. Activities include cheetah tracking on foot, visits to the orphaned cats at the AfriCat Foundation and guided nature walks. Terms: Full board.
Day 16 Drive to Windhoek Airport, drop off your hire car and check in for the Air Namibia overnight flight in economy class to London.
Day 17 Morning arrival London Gatwick.
