WEATHER AT MUCHENJE
January to April Rainy season, but good variety of game with only one or two game drives a year affected.
May to July Winter can be cool at  night/mornings and warm during the day.  Excellent game viewing.
August to October very dry, but cool at night. Large herds of game, concentrated around Chobe River for the water.
November to December Very hot, +40 degrees C. with occasional rains.  Game drives run very early and very late to avoid high temps.

The game viewing in Chobe is always good and in the rainy season does not necessarily mean poor game.  The concentrations are not the same as the dry months, but the variety is always there.  The "Green Season" is a beautiful time of the year, especially with all the new born animals.  The rains can come early - late September.  Rainfall is heavy, but for short periods.  Raincoats are provided during the rainy season.

Game Drives:  Probably as comprehensive as you get, taken in open safari vehicles where safety is paramount.  Imagine the explosive tranquillity of hundreds of elephants surrounding you, or the excitement of a lion kill.

Bush Walks:  Discover the intricacies of the Wild, that you often just pass by.  Our professional guides will share the ancient secrets of tracking, survival techniques and bush craft whilst we wander through the wilderness with the likelihood of big game encounters.  In addition, we offer game viewing by boat safaris and excellent fishing trips.
