This is one of the best ways to see game in remote areas.  Mike and Angie Penman create private safaris based from a variety of mobile-tented camps in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, Savuti, Moremi, Kwai, Makgadikgadi Pans, Central Kalahari, Nxai Pan and the Tsodilo Hills.  We will advise you on the best seasonal location.  The camps are erected in true African safari style in beautiful locations in the National Parks or Private conservation concessions, all of which all have outstanding game concentrations and a variety of different environments (swamps, forests, deserts, plains etc). THE SAFARIS The safaris are firstly tremendous fun, can be as adventurous as you want, (Mad Mike is his nick name) but most importantly will allow you to relax properly in this unspoilt and unique part of Africa.  A typical safari lasting from 3 to 7 nights (4 or 5 is ideal) would include two separate camp sites.  The camp is moved for you during the day’s safari so you just rock up for a cold drink and a hot shower in the late afternoon ...easy.  A nights fly camping with bedrolls, mozzi nets and a well stoked fire is an excellent option as are ballooning, walking, game drives, water picnics, mekoros (swamp  punts), fishing and boating.  November to March is the green/low season and April to October the best time to travel. 10 people is the normal maximum capacity although this can be increased by arrangement.  These safaris are ideal for a family with children or a group of adults.  FACILITIES The camps consist of a large mess tent and a unique mix of canvas chairs, cushions, hammocks and umbrellas set around the central campfire.  The Penmans even provide a cooling cold shower under an adjacent tree for those hot afternoons.  Angie Penman and her staff provide outstanding food (quite some task from a bush oven), which is augmented by affable and efficient service around beautifully decorated tables.  At night the whole camp, including the path to your tents, is attractively light by paraffin lamps.   No. of Bedrooms 2 large walk in canvas bell tents and a private bathroom.  The tents are insect proof and equipped with electric lamps and torches.  One tent is a bedroom, with proper beds and cotton duvets and the other is a dressing room.  This in turn leads to a huge private bathroom enclosure beautifully equipped and arranged with canvas basins, wash stands, heaps of towels, mirrors, lotions and potions.  There is a hot canvas bucket shower hung from a branch and a short drop loo, which is re-dug daily.  Laundry comes back in the day.
