Migration Camp is a luxury-tented camp situated in the Northern Serengeti, overlooking the Grumeti River and migratory route of the Serengeti wildebeest. All Migration Camp's en suite tents are well positioned amongst the rocky outcrops and have sweeping views of the Grumeti River. Each tented cottage is large, has timber floors, is comfortably furnished and has an ensuite bathroom with shower. The central dining area, bar and library are all positioned atop a series of cantilevered decks amongst the Kopjies (rocks), maximising the views of the game plains below. There is a special honeymoon tent which has an open-air spa bath and a dedicated family tent (two joined together) sleeping up to six. The fresh water pool is the perfect place for a refreshing swim after a hard day's safari, and the surrounding sun deck is great for afternoon Serengeti sundowners. The bush cuisine offers an amazing variety of local tastes and dishes, with outdoor picnic lunches or special campfire barbeque's. Safari activities are available in the Lobo area, along the Grumeti River and guided game walks in the bush around the lodge. The best time to be here is between July and November when it is likely you will catch the migrating herds and see the attendant predators however large resident herds remain throughout the year. November and May are normally rainy. | No. of Bedrooms & costs | 20 rooms including honeymoon suite and family tent.
