An atmospheric private residence in the heart of Darwin. A haven of privacy and style nestled in a corner of the city centre, Mandalay provides Darwin’s most exclusive accommodation. Built in traditional colonial style with stone walls and larger timber balconies and trellis work to support a wide corrugated roof, the house is one of four in a private compound facing on to the park and Darwin Harbour in prime position on the Esplanade.
Just a short walk from the cafés and restaurants of Mitchell Street or from the historic port area, the house provides a great base from which to explore the city and yet return in the evening to a private residence with the self-contained feel of a stylish and exclusive home.
There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The spacious and comfortable sitting room, decorated with a mix of Asian and African ornaments and furniture, opens in one direction to the front deck facing across the Esplanade and on the other to the dining room.
