Lujeri Lodge is located on the southwestern foot of Mount Melange in southeast Malawi. The lodge is a restored management houses on a tea plantation, which is available for private hire. It is has a classic tin-roof and wide verandas overlooking beautiful verdant gardens and a pool. The style of the lodge is old colonial with chintz curtains and some of the original staff who are charming and hospitable. Activities include excellent hikes up the up the mountain or some easier walking around the farm and the tea plantation where a n intersting guided tour is available. We like this place its not luxury but you can live the life of a colonial tea planter for a few days. Very low key, quaint, and great value.
