LUFUPA CAMP IS OPEN FROM 1ST MAY TO 3RD JANUARY INCLUSIVE
Lufupa Camp is located just south of the Busanga Plains on the confluence of the Lufupa and Kafue rivers. This is as 'wild' as you can get in today's world: an unfenced mosaic of expansive grassy seasonal floodplains, "dambos" (open grassy areas that sometimes will fill up with rainwater) and diverse riverine vegetation.

The area is home to hundreds of red lechwe, ubiquitous puku, stately roan and the diminutive oribi. Lichtenstein's hartebeest, herds of wildebeest, zebra and buffalo make for a full set of antelope. This wealth of game is also a big attraction for predators, including wild dog, cheetah and prides of lion. The thick riverine vegetation along the Kafue and Lufupa rivers brings fantastic diversity to one's experience of the Kafue National Park.
The camp caters for 12 guests in six well-appointed canvas Meru tents, and is perfectly situated, overlooking the Kafue River. Activities include game drives, boat cruises, fishing, walks and night drives, led by qualified guides who are extremely knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. For those interested in birding, the park boasts 491 species, including endemics such as Chaplin's Barbet. | Style | Tented Safari Camp | | Air/Con | No | | Dining | Yes | | Children | Yes | | No. of Bedrooms | 6 safari tents | | Pool | Yes | | Activities | Game drives, bush walks, night drives, fishing, boat cruises. | | Price Range | From $400.00 pppn fully inclusive, depandant on season |
