The setting is extraordinary. Lake Manyara Serena Lodge is located at the edge of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the stunning Manyara soda lake. The area has long been known for its tree-climbing lions, while ornithologists from around the world come to observe the masses of pink flamingos and birds of prey around the lake. The abundant birdlife inspired the design of the Lodge - swooping curves are complemented by soft, geometric patterns; striking murals depict bird migration patterns.

WILDLIFE
Lake Manyara National Park is an ornithological paradise. Birdlife includes eagles, vultures, storks, flamingos, pelicans, cormorants, swifts and swallows. The hippo pool is located on a freshwater stream at the northern tip of the lake. The park's springs and dense groundwater forest shelter blue monkeys, baboons, bush and common water bucks, elephants and horn bills. Acacia woodland and open grassland are home to buffalo, wildebeest, impalas, giraffes, zebras and lions. Streams attract pythons, Nile monitor lizards and mountain wagtails. FACILITIES
