It is set within its own private game reserve that contains a good diversity of game including rhino, leopard, giraffe, hippo and the rare brown hyena. The lodge is relaxed, very comfortable and fully staffed. During your stay you will be hosted by a management couple who are extremely adept at creating arrangements and activities to keep you and your family entertained, if required. There is a huge choice of things to do in situ including game drives, night drives, guided walks, bird-watching and identification, swimming pool, floodlit tennis, in house massage, picnics, riding, iron age sites and bushman paintings. Sleep outs under canvas with a camp-fire, waking to the African dawn are fantastic for a family with children. Nearby places of interest include: a rhino sanctuary, the Waterberg cultural and Rhino museum, art and craft shops, crocodile farm, scenic helicopter flights, fishing and boating. There is also an excellent choice of day trips to see the big five (elephant, rhino, leopard, lion and buffalo) in nearby game reserves. Jembisa is in effect your own private house to enjoy as you like.
