This small, personalised bush camp lies under a grove of mahogany trees on the banks of the Luangwa River in a very remote area of the southern section of the South Luangwa National Park - one of Zambia's prime game viewing areas. The Camp offers rustic accommodation in 5 double grass/reed huts on stilts, with the modern comforts of open-air bathrooms, hot showers, running water and flushing loos. Each chalet has a private verandah with magnificent views of the Luangwa River. The South Luangwa National Park is a great place to discover the untouched African wilderness, and is truly one of Africa’s best hidden secrets. It is 9,050 square km in size and home to over 420 species of birds and over 60 species of mammals, including some unique to the Luangwa Valley like the Thornicroft giraffe and the Cookson wildebeest. The park is renowned for its high population of leopards, as well as large herds of elephant, and great numbers of hippo and crocodile in the river. Lions are commonly seen and prides can include up to 20 animals.
