The format is flexible but generally we suggest a mixture of a private guide and vehicle with driver mixed together with trains and or planes for longer distances. 
Access to the many sights of the sub-continent has become easier following the improvements to the country's infrastructure i terms of roads and scheduled flights. In the north, India offers the Himalayas (outstanding walks off the beaten track but with comfy accommodation in unspoilt villages, ancient forts and palaces, magnificent temples and the majestic Taj Mahal. Hideaways include many opulent former residences of the great maharajah's to private boutique hotels and game lodges in remote locations. 
To the south, around Cochin, the rivers, lakes, ghats and beaches of Kerala beckon. Some time aboard a Kettuvalam (converted rice boat) offer utter tranquillity, or head for the famous beaches of Goa.
