Situated 5 hours drive or 1 hours flight from Johannesburg in the excellent Manyaleti game reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, Honeyguide Mantobeni has 1st class big five game viewing.  Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp has en-suite tented cottages overlooking a riverbed or waterhole. The camp is pleasantly minimalist in design though it retains enough of the classic African safari comforts, giving a clean, unfussy and relaxed atmosphere. The tented camp is set among Tamboti trees on the banks of a riverbed and each of the twin/double tents has a good sized verandah and luxury stone bathroom. From the sundeck of the swimming pool you can watch game approaching the nearby waterhole for a drink. The reception area has a large sitting area, indoor and outdoor dining and a complimentary bar with a climate-controlled wine cellar stocked with a wide range of fine South African vintages. Guests dine around one large table although separate dining is available on request. Game drives are in open 4x4's with a tracker and guide. Bush walks are available and there is a good game viewing hide. The food at Montabeni is of particular note being light and imaginative. The camp runs occasional cookery courses, usually in June, which are much enjoyed for they deliciously blend Italian cookery, wine tasting and game viewing over 5 nights.
