Guludo Beach Lodge is a tropical barefoot paradise, situated on a deserted 12km beach in the Quirimbas National Park. The lodge looks directly over the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and lies under the shade of the rustling palms providing complete tranquillity and a unique opportunity to experience fair trade tourism in beautiful surroundings. Guludo has a relatively simple rustic feel with spacious accommodation in either beach-front bandas (large canvas tents under thatch - semi en suite) and three new beach front cottages (all en-suite). There are central buildings providing a comfortable area in which to relax with sea views and a cooling sea breeze. We recommend a minimum of 3 nights 4/5 nights is ideal.
Opposite Guludo's calm bay is the Quirimbas Archipelago's reef with its wonderful coral diversity as well as countless schools of game fish, turtles, sharks and, at the right time of year, humpback whales. Guludo offers a range of diving from sheltered tranquil coral gardens to drop-offs with strong currents. The waters are crystal clear, warm and are ideal for snorkeling and the powder white sand beach remains unspoilt. From late June to early October humpbacks pass by the azure waters off Guludo’s shoreline. As these incredible mammals pass by the islands, visitors will often see the mothers teaching their calves to spy hop, breach or tail slap. | New Banda ensuite

The lodge has three new ensuite bandas offering more comfortable bathrooms and bedrooms with terraces overlooking the beach. Above is a small preview to give you an idea of the style. Guludo has excellent fair trade credentials. The foundation stone of Guludo is sealed in its' design, ensuring the presence of each guest actively benefits the local community and environment just by being there. The lodge is involved in a number of supporting projects to uplift the local community from School building - The current primary school has 2 classrooms (no furniture), 2 teachers & 5 year groups. Guludo village lies in a region where life expectancy is 38 years, infant mortality 30% and each year food shortages threaten the lives of thousands of people.
