Grande Provence Guest House plays host to two very different types of guests.  Those who arrive, order a good bottle of Count Augusta Cabernet Sauvignon (two glasses), call for gourmet room service and disappear into their rooms till check-out time.  The other mountain bikes up the pass towards Villiersdorp, swims in the mountain pools, catches a trout, walks the vineyards and is back in time for breakfast on the first day of their stay.  Both are equally welcome.  WINE TASTING The tasting room at Agusta is a showcase for the remarkable wines, both red and white, that have been produced on the farm over the past few years.  From the ever-popular Angels' Tears (an off-dry Chenin Blanc/Muscat D'Alexandrie) to the Veritas award winning Count Augusta Cabernet Sauvignon.  LE PROVENÇAL RESTAURANT The restaurant looks out over the vineyards of Grande Provence towards the mountains surrounding Franschhoek.  Enjoy exciting blends or tastes and textures from all over the world - Franco-Japanese "sushi", twice-cooked quail brushed with teriiyaki, rose geranium fused lemon tart, the menu is always changing - never boring.  Chef Richard Carstens, whose previous restaurants have been counted among the top ten in the country and been awarded two Michelin stars, has brought a fresh approach to the food scene in South Africa since arriving at Le Provençal.
