WILDLIFE
Galdessa Camp is situated on the banks of the Galana river, in the middle of Kenya's largest national park, the immense and untamed Tsavo East - The Elephant Park. This unique river location is the theatre for some of Tsavo's best wildlife sightings as elephant, rhino, buffalo and antelope come to drink - white predators lurk in the shade. The wildlife here has remained very wild -less disturbed by safaris due to the sheer size of the territory, and the difficult access to its center. Through the years, Galdessa has supported many local conservation projects, and a stay with us provides you with the unique chance to see some of the few free-ranging black rhinos that have established their territories in the camp's vicinity, following a successful re-introduction program.
