Nestling amongst tall Tamboti trees, 20 kms from the Von Lindequist Gate, on a 700-hectare property adjacent to the Etosha National Park is Etosha Aoba Lodge. The lodge - which is approached through a dense area of woodlands dominated by tamboti, terminalia and leadwood trees - makes an excellent base for driving around eastern Etosha. The reception, curio shop, bar, lounge and dining area are situated in an open sided thatched 'lapa', beside which is a large pool. The excellent cuisine is a combination of Euro and Namibia with plenty of fresh farm produce. The lodge is owner-run with the emphasis on personalized and friendly service.
