Epako, a Herero word meaning the corner in a mountain range, is a luxury game lodge offering its guests an unparalleled African experience.  Situated approximately 270 kms north of Windhoek and 22 km north-east of Omaruru, the lodge nestles against a hillside overlooking the Epako River.  There are several waterholes in close proximity, one of which is illuminated at night. Epako cuisine is an elegant combination of traditional Namibian ingredients and French cooking, enhanced by fine South African wines and French champagne.         At the beginning of the day a buffet-style breakfast is served on the terrace with a view of an African sunrise.  Lunch is light and tasty, served at pool side or in the air-conditioned dining room, while dinner is served either inside or at a leisurely pace around a campfire under the stars.    WILDLIFE Epako's 11 000 ha of dense African bush harbours a wide variety of animals.
