Situated on the picturesque Garden Route, Eight Bells Mountain Inn nestles in a 400 acre estate in the Ruiterbos Valley Region between Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn.  This charming Inn is renowned for its friendly hospitality and superb recreational facilities amidst magnificent mountain scenery. FACILITIES The main building houses the reception office, an elegant lounge, Bosun's Whistle Pub, The Oak Room Restaurant (for breakfast and dinner), games room, children's lounge, enclosed sun room and exterior patio area.  Outdoor facilities include a swimming pool and small children's pool, 2 all-weather tennis courts, a glass-back squash court, bowling green, walking trails and horse riding.  Donkey cart rides for the children take place once a day after breakfast. In the grounds, protea and fynbos are a feature during the autumn, winter and early spring, and the abundant birdlife is a treat for birdwatchers.   No. of Bedrooms Delightfully furnished en suite rooms, thatched rondavels and alpine chalets are set in enchanting gardens shared by an abundance of birdlife: The Swiss Village (no children) comprises five Alpine log cabins with the best mountain views and privacy.  Each cabin has its own sundeck.  The Glarus Suite (no children under 10) is a beautifully decorated Alpine log cabin consisting of two bedrooms, a bathroom and an elegantly furnished lounge.  A large sundeck extends across the front of the cabin commanding a picturesque view out over the mountains.  The six en suite Palm Court bedrooms are situated in a courtyard-style thatched wing with a pretty garden.  Each spacious bedroom leads out onto its own enclosed patio.  Some of the bedrooms have their own external patio. The Pool Terrace is a thatched wing consisting of seven family suites and rondavels nestled near the swimming pool.  Two of the rondavels are ideal for honeymooners.
