DumaTau is a luxury tented camp in the private 125,000 hectare Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana. The reserve borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park near the confluence of the Linyanti River and Savuti Channel. The camp is built on a low bluff under a shady grove of mangosteen trees and overlooks a large hippo filled lagoon within the Linyanti waterway system. There are excellent grasslands and waterholes along the Savuti Channel and the Linyanti River.

The area has great game viewing all year but is famous for its elephant concentrations in winter along the waterways and lagoons - and at the waterholes that are located along the Savuti Channel. During these dry months sable and roan traverse the flood plains. All the predators - lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog - feast on the prey species in the area, including impala, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, lechwe, tssebe and all the other plains game. In addition you are likely to see crocodile, hippo and buffalo. Birding is also fantastic.
Activities include day and night wildlife viewing drives from open 4x4 vehicles, along with boating and nature walks. Sundowner drinks may be enjoyed from the pontoon boat as hippos snort nearby at this beautiful camp. The camp is composed of 10 luxuriously appointed large walk-in tents-under-thatch, each with en suite facilities. The rooms are raised off the ground and have been designed to give maximum privacy, atmosphere and comfort. The bathroom facilities are en-suite and well appointed. All rooms have ceiling fans and an outdoor shower on the veranda. There is a romantic honeymoon suite with its own charming waterside gazebo and a special family suite of two interconnecting bedrooms with shared bathroom. The spacious dining area and lounge overlook a plunge pool and, beyond that, enjoy extensive views over an enormous lagoon and floodplain.
