This is a stunning 200 year old hilltop fort-palace that has been beautifully restored. The hotel has spacious gardens and superb views overlooking the surrounding hills and village below. Situated in the countryside just north of Udaipur, this is one of India’s finest ‘boutique’ hotels.
The rooms are comfortable, light and airy and are designed in an uncluttered modern style. All are en-suite with double or twin beds, air-conditioning & heating, ceiling fans, bar fridge, hair dryers and wall safe. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, predominantly in white marble and with spots of colour reflecting the rich colours seen throughout Rajasthan. All rooms vary in shape, size and design and have CD players, in-room safes, separate marble bath-tubs and shower cubicles, minibars. Accommodation is also available in exotic en-suite tented cottages erected on one of the grass terraces within the palace grounds (October to March only). Guests staying in the tents have use of all the facilities except room service. Children are accommodated and there is a baby-sitting service available. Dinners can be served in your room or on private terraces throughout the hotel or the exquisite restaurant. Devigarghs health spa is beautifully run, staffed and equipped even with an Aruveydic Doctor if required. Facilities include gymnasium, steam, sauna, Jacuzzi, and beauty parlour,and Spa wellness therapies are available ranging from relaxing massages to complex treatments.
The best time to visit is from October to early April. It is generally a dry heat with very little humidity.
