DeraMandawa was built by Thakur Jait Singhji of Mandawa and further developed and expanded by His Sons and grandsons Thakur Inder Singhji, Thakur Bhim Singhji and is now home to his great grandson Thakur Durga Singh and the Mandawa family. As you step through the traditional entrance at DeraMandawa, time slows its pace to usher you into the leisurely comfort of an era gone by. Highlighting the calm mood are the colourful local motifs, quiet nooks and corners with only chirping of birds and scurry of squirrels breaking the silence, and natural light in abundance. Leaving behind the hullabaloo of the streets of Jaipur, you get transported into the tranquility and hospitality of traditional Rajasthani charm. The rooms are on two levels, around the central courtyard - the air-conditioned suites comprise of lobby / galleries, a study and a bedroom. The beds are spacious and comfortable, the furnishings bright and colourful with wonderful Indian fabrics. The baths and showers are modern and have running cold and hot water. You are assured of a relaxed and restful stay.
