Deep in the heart of the forest you'll find an old hunting lodge called Cybele Forest Lodge & Spa: 300 acres of African paradise surrounded by timber plantations, mountains and meadows. A charming old farmhouse with a wide verandah that looks out over the magnificent views. The interior of the lodge is warm and inviting being furnished throughout with antiques, art and exquisite fabrics. One of our favourite places in South Africa.

SPA & GYMNASIUM The spa in the forest offers a wide range of treatments and therapies designed to rejuvenate and thebody and restore the soul. Facilities include several massage and therapy rooms, a double treatmentroom, two hydro therapy baths and steam room. The gymnasium complimenting the spa has state of theart equipment. A personal trainer is available on request.

Each of the 14 rooms and suites has been individually decorated to the most exacting standards. Allrooms have walled gardens, many with wonderful views over the mountains and six have their owngenerously proportioned heated swimming pools for exclusive use. Other features include airconditioning, satellite television immaculately appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, underfloor heating andoutside showers. The larger Forest Suite offers all of these luxuries and more in serious privacy.
Activities
…if you must, its that sort of place. Riding - the Lodge has its own stables with a groom who will escort you. Walking - stroll down to the river, forest and along the river bank. Swimming - the Lodge has a large secluded swimming pool. Fishing - catch rainbow trout in the well-stocked river and take a picnic. Exhilarating excursions by private vehicle or in a helicopter – to remote mountaintops andwaterfalls or a day on in the Kruger on a guided 4x4, walking or Elephant safari. Ballooning, golf, tennis and many other pursuits are all available nearby.
