Chitabe Lediba, Moremi, Botswana 

Chitabe Lediba is a very comfortable five-roomed tented camp in an enormous concession that borders the Moremi Game Reserve.  The area offers a superb variety of habitats, which include waterways and marshlands, dry acacia and mopane woodland, riverine areas, open grasslands and seasonally flooded plains. The associated game viewing is excellent with a wide variety of wildlife.  (There are no water activities, Chitabe Lediba is a year-round 'dry' camp.) The camp itself is situated on one of the most beautiful islands in the Delta and is surrounded by ancient ebony, leadwood and sausage trees.  Accommodation consists of five spacious and luxuriously appointed East African style tents that have en-suite facilities with flush toilets, and a shower and basin with hot and cold running water. Each room is on a raised deck and has an outdoor shower, which overlooks the floodplain. The room interiors are of the same standard as its sister camp, Chitabe. The camp is ideal for small parties who are looking for their own private camp, as well as those individuals who prefer to stay at a small camp.  There is also family accommodation.   There is a dining area, lounge and pool. The camp overlooks a waterhole, where Elephants and plains game often come down to drink during the day. Activities consist of game walks, and day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, accompanied by an experienced guide. WILDLIFE Wildlife seen here includes Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah.  Wild Dog are resident in the area and can be sighted -depending on the time of the year.  Guests should also see Zebra, Reedbuck, Hippo, Red Lechwe, Impala, and all the plains game.  Night drives can be very rewarding, giving rare opportunities to view animals such as Pangolin, Civet Cat, Serval, Porcupine and Aardwolf. Activities Chitabe Lediba is strictly a game viewing camp - no water activities are offered here.  We travel out into the field in the morning and afternoon, returning usually after dark where we can often spot the shyer nocturnal animals.  The game drives are in the same area as the neighbouring Chitabe Camp, so the game viewing experience is identical.  Find Similar Properties
