Chief's Camp offers the traveller a world class destination in one of the last great wilderness areas.The camp is located on the north west tip of Chief's Island In Botswana's Moremi Game Reserve. The area offers excellent game viewing which is, in part, due to thick vegetation and mineral rich soils, allowing the area to sustain abnormally high numbers of plains game and predators. All the big five elephant, rhino, leopard, lion and buffalo are present in the area as are cheetah, wilddog, giraffe, hippo and crocodiles.
A combination of modern technology and traditional styles, Chief's Camp offers luxurious tented comfort whilst creating minimum impact on the environment. The camp has been carefully crafted around the spectacular landscape, under canopies of jackalberry, sausage and rain trees - all of which guarantee abundant birdlife and primate activity. The main deck area overlooks the tip of the island and is surrounded by the floodwaters as they flow southwards, in about June, July and August.
