Camp Figtree is a remote, private lodge set on top of the stunning Zuurberg mountain range a 1½ hour drive inland from Port Elizabeth. Resting between a conservancy and the Addo Elephant National Park, the camp boasts the most breathtaking 270-degree views to be found in the Eastern Cape. Game drives are available into the Elephant park and to other local private game reserves.  Camp Figtree is malaria-free. The property has been designed around its original 1920s colonial building style. Historically, this includes the distinctive use of corrugated iron roofing and wide, sweeping verandas which provide areas for relaxed sociability.The lounge and dining room are strongly evocative of the romantic colonial era. Four luxury suites offer guests the unique opportunity to experience exclusivity, privacy, and the gracious style of Old World elegance. Each bedroom is individually decorated, features a bathroom en-suite, and a private veranda with stunning views. In addition, a separate luxury tented camp reaches out into the valley, providing breathtaking views.
