The Hotel
Beau Rivage is an elegant medium sized resort hotel with a relaxing, low-key atmosphere. The central areas are spacious and cool with nicely presented lounges,sitting areas,bars and gardens. The hotels position on the NE coast of the island overlooks a good sized sand beach, lagoon and corral reef. The accommodation is all of a high standard with views over the gardens to the beach and beyond. Each air-conditioned room or suite is decorated with warm subtle Mediterranean tones with pleasant Mauritian influences. Great thought has been put in to the layout and presentation of the rooms resulting in a very comfortable stay. Facilities include mini bars, flat screen TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities, marble bathrooms - with copious mounts of soaps, lotions, loofahs, bath pillows, fluffy towels etc and 24-hour room service. All rooms and suites have a balcony overlooking the sea. The Beau Rivage is suitable for couples and families alike. Complimentary recreational facilities include water-skiing, windsurfing, kayaks, pedal boats, minisail, snorkelling, floodlit tennis, beach volleyball and use of the tiered swimming pool, gym and sauna. Massages at the aphrodite Spa, mountain bikes, powerboat tours, big-game fishing and scuba diving are all available at local rates. The complimentary 'Little Mermaid' mini-club looks after 3 to 11 year-olds - under 3's need a baby sitter which is provided but charged locally. In the evenings there is some gentle evening entertainment with alternating local bands and Sega dances,
The hotel has four restaurants. Dining choices include the table d'hote selections or buffets dinners of the 'Rive Gauche' restaurant, supplemented by various la carte venues serving seafood, Mediterranean or European-Asian fusion cuisine - half-board guests can dine in three of the four restaurants without supplement. The food is extreemly good.
The Villas
Immediately adjacent to but separated from the hotel are 12 villas with private pools. Two villas are right on the beach front whilst eight have sea views and all sleep 2 people in select luxury. Two further hillside villas have 2 bedrooms and are suitable for families, a fifth child bed can be arranged if required. All the villas have a private entrance, a good sized sitting room with an i pod station, DVD player and flat screen TV. In addition there is a well equipped kitchen (butler provided) and each bedroom has a luxury en-suite bathroom. All the villas have a private plunge pool which is accessed through a garden or decked sitting area. Villas residents can use all the facilities of the hotel.
