Arusha Coffee Lodge is a stylish, small luxury hotel situated on the Burka Coffee estate, a working coffee plantation of some 2,100 acres on the outskirts of Arusha.  The lodge is surrounded by coffee bushes and shelter trees and has views to Mount Meru.  It is extremely comfortable and is also just a short drive to the Arusha airstrip, making it ideal for a relaxing break pre or post safari. Accommodation is in 23 private chalets, each with en-suite facilities, including shower, bath, and separate loos. The chalets are built on raised wooden platforms, are very spacious and are beautifully designed and furnished.  All have log fireplaces, private lounges and large balconies overlooking Mount Meru and the plantation.  They are equipped with modern conveniences and, as befits their location, are all provided with a coffee percolator.  In addition, with coffee roasters and a fermentation plant on the estate, guests have the opportunity to observe the roasting process, taste coffee blends, and purchase fresh roasted beans. Cuisine at the lodge is of a superb standard and dining is in the shade of large umbrellas set amongst the lawn and trees.  A large wooden deck leads to a swimming pool and sun-bathing area, dotted with tables and sunshades.  A relaxation spa is also provided.  Other activities on offer include plantation tours, horse riding, mountain biking, and nature walks on the estate.
